Longer Answers, Checked Figures, and Document Notices

Highlights

Chat answers can keep running after you leave, figures in an answer are checked against the data behind them, agent parallelization speeds multi-step answers, External Signals opens on high-impact items, and a scheduled document retirement sends a notice.

  • A chat answer keeps running if you leave, and a stuck turn offers Try again
  • Figures in an answer are checked against the data the assistant was shown
  • External Signals opens on high-impact items
  • Agent parallelization and improved dispatch run several lookups in parallel when one answer needs them
  • A scheduled document retirement sends a notice when it deletes or disables a file

New

New capabilities in this release.

  • A chat answer keeps running if you open another chat or another tab. Answers can run longer than before in the app, in connected messaging channels, and on scheduled prompts, with different time limits depending on where you are working. If a request never starts or stops making progress, chat offers Try again. Enter does not send another message while Stop is showing.
  • When a document reaches its retirement date, people who own it, receive it, or help administer it get a notice. A deletion explains the file was removed. A disable explains the file stays in the library but is hidden from chats. Both notices can be turned on or off in notification settings.

Improved

Improvements to existing features.

  • External Signals opens with the list filtered to high-impact scores. Clear the impact filter to see the rest.
  • Agent parallelization and improved dispatch: when an answer needs several data lookups, Snowfire runs them in parallel so the assistant can assemble the answer sooner instead of waiting on each lookup in sequence.

Fixed

Issues resolved in this release.

  • Charts and tables in a chat load promptly, including for large saved-intel libraries.
  • The documents list includes a Retirement column.
  • After documents finish uploading, retention and sharing setup runs once the new files appear in the list.
  • Onboarding daily briefs save and continue; if a save fails, you see a clear message to try again.
  • When you add external signal keywords, a multi-word phrase is treated as one term; spaces no longer split it into separate keywords.
  • View source on a signal story in a connected messaging channel opens the source for that story.
  • Stop, then edit, hides the cancelled reply as well as the prompt you are replacing.
  • Short results stay in full; larger results show a preview. Numbers in an answer are checked against figures the assistant was shown.
  • A table shows in an answer only when the assistant ran a lookup and got rows back. If no lookup ran, the answer does not invent a table, and it tells you figures were not checked against your data and suggests asking again to run the query.
  • Metrics that are still calculating finish when the query completes.
  • Metric queries with no rows are reported as empty results.
